Emily’s Guide to Savannah: Where to Play

May 09, 2016

Hopefully you caught our feature in Peachy the Magazine not long ago. If you didn’t, we’ll bring our guide to Savannah right to you, dear readers! In this series we’ll let you know Emily’s favorite places to eat, to stay, to play, and shop right here in Savannah, GA.

It’s no secret and no surprise that Savannah is a tourist destination all year round. In fact, it feels like a dream to call this vacation spot a home! Here are the favorite hot spots or hot ideas that you definitely need to be acquainted with.

– Picnic on Forsyth Park with the Savannah Picnic Company – What could be more fun than a pop-up picnic that you literally don’t have to lift a finger for? This company is the epitome of charm! I never even knew something like this existed, and now I can’t stop recommending it. (Find more info on their website by clicking here.)
– Pure Barre Savannah – Whether you’re a local or visiting, the best workout in all of Savannah is definitely Pure Barre! Located on Derenne and Abercorn this studio will work you from head to toe with the best instructors around. I’m warning you, you’ll be hooked right away. The best part is, it’s a low impact workout that absolutely anyone can do. Schedule your first class here!
– Savannah Slow Ride – We won’t dance around the subject (though dancing does complete any fete!), Savannah likes to party. Grab a group of friends and hop on an intimate 14 person bike and hit up all the best sites. You can take it from monument to monument, or bar to bar. Up to you… and it will be one of your favorite adventures SAV has to offer.

– Top Deck at the Cotton Sail Hotel – Unlike other rooftop venues in the city, this particular venue is going to give you a view of the river and the picturesque Talmadge Bridge that takes you to South Carolina. Sip cocktails on the sofas outside on the deck and wait for the sun to set – you’ll love the photo ops!
Where are your favorite spots to play around town? We’d love to know! Maybe we can add it to our guide. Everyone loves a local’s inside scoop.
