Layering season is upon us, and I could not be more thrilled. I am oh so excited to start styling all the Emily McCarthy outerwear and add new staple pieces to my - and hopefully your - wardrobe this season. My favorite outerwear piece in the fall collection is definitely the Mia Moto jacket. She comes in two different color options & fabrications: a laid back denim or an elevated vegan leather gold python. How could you ever choose between the two? You don’t, that’s why I added both to my closet the second they dropped. Today let’s talk about different ways of styling these to die for moto jackets and how they can easily become your most worn piece of the season.
Now you might be questioning the versatility of the python vegan leather moto due to its occasional appearance, but before you doubt any further, here are 3 different ways this jacket can be styled from classy to casual.
I’ve paired the python moto with the Celeste Crop in Fall Ikat and the Ruffle Flares in Java along with some gold heels to accent the jacket. Statement gold jewelry and a slicked back bun to keep the elegance, along with a gold accented clutch. I love this look for a nice dinner, date night, or elevated occasion/event.
Next, I styled the moto with its matching Party Short in Python. Something about a two-piece set is just so promising and an easy choice for when you’re unsure of what to wear. I casualized this set with a white bodysuit and some gold accented sneakers. I went light on the jewelry, pulled my hair back, and threw on my go-to crossbody bag. Just my take on a classy casual.
Now for a complete casual look, this moto jacket pairs so well with denim. I’m wearing a bodysuit with my favorite wide leg jeans and a dainty gold chain. I threw my hair up in a bun and slipped on some mules and I’m ready for my casual close up!

For somewhere in the middle, I paired the denim moto with a black cotton poplin Poppy Dress. The Poppy style is everyone’s go to and such an easy staple piece for many occasions. I paired this look with a boot and a scarf for a semi casual everyday look.
One thing I love about a denim jacket, is that it can be super casualized with athleisure and a ball cap. I paired the denim moto with our Downtown Leggings in Noir Cheetah, sneakers, and a ball cap. I love the edgy vibes of this look and will be wearing this jacket with all of my athleisure until further notice.
