Experience & skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field is required.
- 1-2+ years experience in a marketing assistant or similar role is required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- AÂ passion for the Emily McCarthy brand and aesthetic.
- An understanding of the target demographic and market positioning of a high end lifestyle brand
- Experience with Canva, ShopMy, & all major social media channels preferredÂ

About the Role
Our Lead Hostess serves as a key support role within the Flagship Store, helping guide the tone of the day, uphold brand standards, and support the team when managers are not present. This role bridges the gap between Hostess and Assistant Manager, providing strong floor leadership, ensuring smooth operations, and maintaining a joyful, polished environment that reflects the Emily McCarthy brand.
Lead Hostesses lead by example: showing up with joy, communicating clearly, and helping keep the team on task while delivering an exceptional client experience. They are dependable, proactive, and excited to support both leadership and fellow hostesses.
Client Experience & Store Hospitality
- Ensure every guest receives a warm, elevated, and joyful experience.
- Lead by example in selling behaviors, product knowledge, and brand enthusiasm.
- Support team members in creating memorable interactions, solving client concerns, and providing polished service.
Floor Leadership
- Serve as the acting floor lead when managers are not present.
- Help direct daily flow and delegate small tasks to ensure efficiency and productivity.
- Maintain awareness of fitting room activity, customer traffic, and team needs throughout the day.
- Redirect team members kindly and professionally to keep priorities aligned and tasks moving.
Operational Excellence
- Perform opening and closing procedures & responsibilities
- Ensure registers are prepared, store zones are covered, and all checklists are completed accurately.
- Support inventory-related tasks such as restocking the sales floor, and ensuring products are properly displayed.
- Communicate product issues, low stock items, operational concerns, and client feedback to the management team promptly.
Team Support & Communication
- Set the tone for positivity, professionalism, and joy each day.
- Provide in-the-moment coaching to help associates stay aligned with expectations.
- Support new team members with onboarding basics and modeling daily standards.
- Serve as a resource for questions on procedures, policies, and store operations.
- Maintain open, respectful communication with management regarding daily store needs and team updates.
Brand & Visual Standards
Help ensure the store floor is visually aligned with brand expectations:
- Sizing, steaming, folding, and replenishment
- Maintaining a consistent, polished appearance in all areas
- Ensure team members are adhering to dress code and brand presentation standards.
Qualifications
- Previous retail experience required; leadership or key holder experience strongly preferred.
- Must be 21 years or older.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multitask and remain composed during busy periods.
- Dependable, punctual, and capable of taking initiative without being asked.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and move throughout the store during shifts.
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
- Comfortable giving direction and providing gentle, supportive redirection when needed.
- Tech-comfortable (register systems, basic communication platforms, POS apps).
Scheduling Requirements
- Must be available at least two weekends per month.
- Availability during peak seasons, holidays, and brand events is strongly preferred.
- Open to both part-time and full-time candidates.

- Hourly position.
- Based in-person at our Savannah Flagship Store.

This position is responsible for greeting customers with warmth, supporting the sales floor team, maintaining store standards, and helping create a polished, hospitality-driven environment that reflects the Emily McCarthy brand.
The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, dependable, and energized by both people and beautiful product. They show up with joy, take initiative, and love being part of a collaborative team.
Client Experience & Store Hospitality
- Welcome every guest with genuine warmth, joy, and attentiveness.
- Assist clients throughout their visit: from greeting, to shopping support, to checkout.
- Demonstrate strong product knowledge and enthusiasm for the brand, prints, and collections.
- Support a hospitality-first environment by offering thoughtful service, anticipating client needs, and creating memorable, joyful interactions.
Sales Floor Support
- Maintain a polished, organized, and visually beautiful sales floor.
- Assist with merchandising, restocking, steaming, sizing, and product presentation.
- Support sales initiatives by helping the team meet daily and weekly goals through exceptional service.
- Communicate customer feedback, product needs, and inventory observations to management.
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with management, leads, & fellow associates to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Adapt quickly to shifting needs: whether assisting in fitting rooms, fulfilling online pickup orders, or supporting events.
- Uphold brand standards in personal presentation, store appearance, and client interactions.
- Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude and contribute to a joyful store culture.
Operational Responsibilities
- Ensure the store is clean, organized, and welcoming at all times.
- Support opening/closing procedures as assigned.
- Assist with organizing new inventory when needed.
Qualifications
- Previous retail, customer service, or hospitality experience preferred.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and move throughout the store during shifts.
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage time effectively.
- Positive attitude with the ability to remain joyful, composed, and solutions-oriented in a fast-paced environment.
- Dependable and adaptable with reliable attendance.

- Part-time and full-time opportunities available depending on store needs.
