About the Role
The Store Manager will play a pivotal role in establishing Emily McCarthy's presence in Charleston while building a team known for exceptional hospitality, elevated styling, and genuine connection.This opportunity represents far more than opening a new store. The leader we hire will play an integral role in shaping the customer experience, leadership philosophy, and retail standards that will support Emily McCarthy's continued retail expansion.This role is equal parts leader, coach, stylist, and brand ambassador. You'll be responsible for cultivating a high-performing team, delivering memorable customer experiences, driving store performance, and ensuring every interaction reflects the warmth, hospitality, and premium experience our customers have come to expect.We're looking for someone who loves developing people just as much as serving customers. What you'll do
Lead the Team
•Recruit, hire, onboard, and develop a team that embodies the Emily McCarthy culture and values.
•Create thoughtful schedules that support both the business and an exceptional employee experience.
•Provide consistent coaching, sales training, and performance management that empowers every team member to grow professionally while achieving individual and store goals.
•Establish clear expectations and foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
•Conduct regular one-on-one conversations, performance feedback, and ongoing development opportunities.•Lead by example on the sales floor with professionalism, positivity, and genuine hospitality.
•Oversee team scheduling, attendance, and payroll approvals with fairness, consistency, and attention to detail.

•Serve as the leader of the Charleston store, ensuring every guest receives an elevated, personalized shopping experience.•Inspire the team to deliver thoughtful styling, genuine hospitality, and meaningful customer relationships that extend well beyond the transaction.

Grow the Business
•Lead a results-driven culture by setting clear expectations, coaching performance, and holding the team accountable for achieving sales, clienteling, conversion, average order value, and profitability goals.
•Analyze business trends and performance metrics to identify opportunities, develop action plans, and coach the team toward continued growth and stronger results.
•Partner with Marketing and Corporate Leadership to execute collection launches, store events, community partnerships, and seasonal activations.
•Create a culture where sales excellence is expected, celebrated, and achieved through education, confidence, accountability, and relationship-building rather than transactional selling.
•Continuously coach the team on styling techniques, selling behaviors, and luxury service standards.

Working alongside the Store Manager, you'll help establish the operational standards that will support Emily McCarthy's continued retail expansion while ensuring every detail of the Charleston store reflects our commitment to excellence.

What You'll Do
Lead Operational Excellence
- Oversee the day-to-day operational execution of the Charleston store, ensuring every process is organized, efficient, and consistently executed.
- Maintain an organized, well-stocked, and highly functional stockroom that supports an exceptional customer experience.
- Lead all inventory processes, including receiving shipments, transfers, replenishment, inventory accuracy, and cycle counts.
- Monitor inventory levels and proactively communicate replenishment needs, inventory opportunities, and product feedback to the corporate team.
- Identify operational challenges before they arise by creating solutions, improving processes, and taking initiative without waiting to be asked.
- Ensure operational standards, opening and closing procedures, and daily store organization consistently reflect the Emily McCarthy brand.
Own Inventory & Collection Execution
- Receive, organize, and prepare new collections for launch with excellence and attention to detail.
- Partner with the Store Manager to execute collection launches, floor transitions, and merchandising updates.
- Coordinate the logistical execution of visual merchandising, ensuring product is prepared, organized, replenished, and launch-ready.
- Maintain accurate inventory records while communicating inventory updates, transfers, replenishment needs, and product opportunities to the corporate team.
- Ensure the sales floor remains replenished, organized, and presentation-ready throughout each business day.
Lead Client Experience Beyond the Sale
- Own the store's clienteling strategy by cultivating meaningful relationships before, during, and after every purchase.
- Maintain client books and proactively communicate with customers regarding new arrivals, wish list items, collection launches, store events, and personalized styling opportunities.
- Coordinate personalized follow-up that creates long-term customer loyalty and repeat business.
- Fulfill customer orders with accuracy and care, including shipping orders, Buy Online Pick Up In Store requests, and coordinating local deliveries when needed.
- Partner with the Store Manager to ensure every customer interaction reflects the warmth, hospitality, and premium experience synonymous with the Emily McCarthy brand.
Support Store Success
- Partner closely with the Store Manager to ensure operational execution supports an exceptional customer experience and the overall success of the store.
- Assist with onboarding new team members by teaching operational standards, inventory processes, and store procedures.
- Serve as the operational resource for the team, providing guidance on systems, inventory, and day-to-day execution.
- Collaborate with Retail Leadership and corporate partners to support collection launches, seasonal initiatives, and operational priorities.
- Maintain supplies, operational resources, and store organization to ensure the team can operate efficiently every day.

Position Summary
The Content & Marketing Coordinator is first and foremost a creative storyteller. Working closely with the Senior Marketing Manager, this role is directly responsible for driving the Emily McCarthy social media presence and producing the compelling visual content that brings our brand to life. While supporting influencer relations and events, the primary focus is the hands-on creation, editing, and execution of elevated digital content.
Core Responsibilities
- Social Media & Content Strategy: Own the day-to-day management and content calendars for all brand accounts across all social media channels. Design, schedule, and publish consistent, engaging content that protects and elevates our joyful brand voice.
- Influencer & ShopMy Management: Oversee the ShopMy account, handle influencer outreach, manage gifting initiatives, and track performance to build lasting creator relationships.
- Campaign & Retail Support: Collaborate on seasonal campaigns and execute social-first marketing to drive traffic to our retail spaces and local events.
Expectations & Qualifications
- Required Social & Content Experience: Must have 2+ years of dedicated, hands-on experience managing brand social media channels and producing high-performing digital content.
- Technical Editing Skills: High proficiency in short-form video editing, Canva, and social platform mechanics is essential. Familiarity with ShopMy is a major plus.
- Visual Excellence: Exceptional creativity with a sharp eye for editorial aesthetics and a deep understanding of luxury lifestyle branding.
- Proactive & Organized: Highly self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of managing content calendars and asset libraries in a fast-paced environment.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
