Our Design Process

Every collection begins in our Savannah, Georgia headquarters, where each style is thoughtfully imagined, designed, and refined with our customer at the center. We design for a woman who finds reasons to celebrate - both the milestones and the everyday moments in between. She embraces color, values personal expression, and understands the confidence that comes from wearing something that feels distinctly her own.

Our creative process begins with print and palette. Original patterns are developed in-house through a layered approach of graphic design, hand-drawn illustration, painting, and thoughtful experimentation with color, scale, and composition. These signature prints become the foundation for each collection, setting the tone for the story we want to tell.

From there, every element is considered. Fabrics are intentionally sourced for their hand feel, drape, structure, and comfort. Silhouettes are sketched and refined to balance beauty with wearability - because we believe exceptional design should work beautifully in real life.

And the details extend far beyond what you see at first glance. From the precise shade of a thread to a custom-etched button or perfectly color-matched zipper, every decision is made with intention. Inspired by Emily’s passion for storytelling, each original print begins with something meaningful - a place discovered through travel, the intricate details of architecture, a treasured core memory, a collected object, or simply a color combination that sparks an idea. These references are thoughtfully reimagined through Emily’s creative lens, blending illustrated and painted elements with graphic design to transform inspiration into something entirely our own. More than pattern and color, our prints are a visual expression of moments, places, and memories - each one designed to tell a story, evoke a feeling, and become part of the memories our customers create while wearing them.

Roma: Rooted In Classic Architecture and History

Roma leads our creative journey through Italy for our Fall Collections - inspired by Emily's travels last summer. Rome, Italy has a lasting influence of art and architecture, reinterpreting in the collection with classical foundations through a modern design lens. The collection reflects the shapes, textures, and quiet details found throughout Rome, marble veining, carved stonework, and structured forms, translated into pieces that feel like wearable art. The color palette follows stone buildings and streets, umbrella pines all over the city and hues of blue skies across the region. Rich suede, laser-cut leathers, and carefully chosen fabrics introduce depth and contrast, while bold laurel embroidery nods to historic Roman motifs. New silhouettes and intentional construction guide the assortment, creating a story that connects timeless artistry with contemporary dressing in a way that feels both wearable and distinct.

Forum is a jacquard developed with a soft, quilt-like texture and an abstract arrangement of classic Roman busts woven throughout the design. The artwork is expressed in a muted blue tone reminiscent of blue-grey marble veining, giving the fabric a subtle sense of depth and classical reference. The textile adds a softness to the sculptural, heritage-inspired layer of the collection while preserving the polished, art-driven point of view of the assortment.

Colosseum Laser Cut Leather is engineered with a hidden design inspired by the iconic arches of Rome’s Colosseum. The leather is precision-cut to reveal the repeating architectural shapes, creating a pattern that feels both sculptural and intentional. This technique brings depth and shadow to the material, offering a tactile expression of Roman design that adds a distinctive, art-driven element to the collection.

Mosaic Monogram Jacquard reimagines our classic hidden monogram print as an intricate mosaic tile pattern, crafted through meticulous woven detailing. The interplay of threads creates subtle textural dimension, giving the design depth and structure while maintaining a refined surface. This novelty jacquard adds a distinctive architectural element to the collection, offering a unique interpretation of classic mosaic artisans seen throughout Italy.
