With new trends making their debut every season, the jogger pant has always been a pretty timeless and consistent style because of its elevated twist on casual dressing. Whether it be a take on athleisure, loungewear, or luxe clothing, joggers are a great way to add a statement to your look. If you’re anything like me, you can be pretty picky and hesitant when it comes to finding the right pair of joggers to fit the way you want them to. While joggers are known for their relaxed and oversized fit, I prefer mine to be a little slimmer fitting when styling them for everyday wear. This is why I love the Emily McCarthy Downtown Jogger! They give just the right amount of sophistication to mix into your lounge look. The subtle detailing of gold and vegan leather are the cherry on top for a luxe touch. Here are a few ways to style the Downtown Joggers and make them a staple piece in your closet this season.
Starting with our first look in the black ponte material, I paired the jogger with the Rhett Top in Plaid Noir which adds a very sophisticated touch. I love to pair joggers with a bootie that has just the right amount of room for the cuffs to create a stylish faux tuck look. I did a full tuck with the top and added some gold jewelry to accent the gold pocket zippers. This look is so chic and perfect for fall!
Next I went for a more cozy look with the Poppy Pullover Sweater. The detailing on this sweater is EVERYTHING with its oversized fold over collar, striped trim, and gold accent. I feel like I’m always looking for the perfect sophisticated lounge look and this sweater gives just that when paired with the joggers and some mules.
One of my go-to pairing pieces when styling the joggers are the Oxford Top and a sweater to wrap around the shoulders. The Oxford has a unique touch of pleated detailing on the sleeves and gold Emily McCarthy signature buttons down the front to distinguish from all other classic button down tops. Tuck one side into the front, add a beaded necklace or two, and slip on your mules. This is such a classy take on a relaxed, monochromatic look.
Now for the luggage ponte joggers, I could not love these more paired with their matching vegan leather tops. For this look I chose the Hampton Top in luggage because of its tailored puff sleeves and stitched cuffs with gold button details. I added a scarf around the neck, tan leather mules, and my favorite gold hoops. This is such a classy and color coordinating fall look that everyone needs to invest in!!!
Since I love the Oxford Top paired with the joggers so much, I chose another one for the luggage in the Fall Ikat print. This print is so detailed and great for fall incorporating all sorts of colors to make styling a breeze. I paired this look with a statement necklace that ties in some colors from the top and my favorite cream booties that I’m living in all season! This look is fun and bright, bringing some life to the party!
For the final look I paired the joggers with the Poppy Top in the Royal Animal print. This print incorporates all the necessary fall colors and pairs so well with both black and brown! I love a shoulder accent with a sweater, so I added the black Lolli Sweater into the mix as well as a statement necklace and boots. I pulled my hair back for a stronger look with the popped collar being more visible. I might just have to purchase this outfit now.
