Introducing the Emily McCarthy 2024 holiday collection, where we’re embracing all things sparkly and celebratory. 44 styles, 14 fabrics & prints, and 12 months of design calls for a celebration in the Big Apple!
While most of our lifestyle photoshoots take place in much smaller settings, this one was definitely one for the books! From waiting in carousel lines wearing a fluffy tulle skirt, to outfit changes in the middle of Times Square, we shared lots of laughs and made joyful memories.
Bryant Park
The amount of stares and giggles received while waiting in this carousel line was a great way to kick off the shoot. Of course the other contenders were children and parents, so it makes total sense why some were a bit confused. Although the fact that the outfit was a bit over the top for a casual carousel ride probably had more to do with it. If you ask me, I thought it was pretty iconic to show that even a woman dressed in a green tulle skirt, high heels, and a Chanel bag can enjoy the carousel just as well. Also, the pictures turned out to be pretty iconic as well.
The pop of color from the Misty Maxi Skirt is all you need this holiday season to feel like the star of the show! Paired with the Bella Top in the Black Joy organza added some dimension and detail to the look. Added accessories to coordinate the two colors made for the perfect look!
Times Square
Now these pictures in Times Square may look like a breeze. However, the overcrowd of people, minimal changing areas, and a few dodges from getting hit by cabs, was a bit overwhelming. BUT, we made it through the chaos with smiles and honestly had the best time ever. Forever thankful for our team that covered us in a small corner of Times Square for outfit changes and not complaining once! These shots turned out amazing, capturing the glitz and shimmer of our most favorite pieces in the collection. Of course we saved the best for Times Square!
Plaza Hotel
Ending the photoshoot with a team dinner and a quick stop by the Plaza Hotel. Of course we were already ready to go in our photoshoot looks, because you can’t get more glam than this! Everyone looked amazing and the amount of compliments and questions received were incredible! We are so thankful to be a part of such an amazing team of ladies that work so hard to make the dream a reality. There was truly no better place to capture this amazing collection than NYC!
